Delete your Dearytale account
- Deleting your account immediately and permanently deletes your diaries, tales, pictures, shelves and badges.
Delete in the app
Open the Dearytale app → Settings → Account → Delete account, confirm once more, and it is deleted right away.
If you cannot use the app
Email hello@dearytale.com with the subject "Account deletion request". Please send it from the email of the Apple or Google account you signed up with; after confirming it is you, we delete the account within 10 days and let you know.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted right away: sign-in information, diaries, tale text and pictures, shelves, cast, badges, push tokens and settings
- Kept separately as required by law: subscription payment records for 5 years (Korean E-Commerce Act)
- Kept so the free trial can't be repeated: an irreversibly hashed sign-in ID with your trial start date and tales used (no email or diary)
- Anonymous tale review statistics (no diary text) may remain
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Please cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
